everything you do in on or related to computers requires a motherboard to run it. when you start a computer, the first thing to go is your fan, then your bios os runs and sets off the rest of the computer. Bios is kept on constantly by a small battery, and it contains operating instructions for the rest of your stuff. after this the main computer functions come online and run through the computers boot process. RAM is used in DIMM slots as running memory for your programs, it s only temporary and is dumped after the computer is shut off. external connections out to monitors, keyboards, mouses, and other devices are also online at this time.

What are my favorite types of web video?

Overall, I think my favorite type of web video is from streaming TV and movie sites like Hulu.com and others. I enjoy being able to go and do whatever i want with friends without having to stay home to see something on TV. then, when i have downtime late at night or when everyone is busy I can relax and watch at my leisure with little or no commercials. It also saves me time and money by watching movies online instead of having to rent or buy them. I invested in a computer to TV cord and its simple to hook it up and watch movies on our big screen TV.

How does technology effect me every day?

Technology is everywhere, and we deal with it every day. It powers our phones and we use it to talk, text, and surf the internet. It runs our computers, letting us check our mail, finish homework, play games, watch movies, the list goes on and on. But technology is in other things too. It is vitally important to how our cars run and how our houses get electricity or running water.
When seriously considered, almost everything today is technology related. For example, this morning I woke up to an Ipod playing an mp3 file in its dock, turned on lights controlled from the HECO computer system, went for a run with my ipod shuffle, I checked my email while eating breakfast, texted good morning to a girl I’m talking to, and caught a ride to school in a car regulated by a basic computer system. We got stuck behind a hybrid bus, and all these things happened before 7:30 in the morning. Right now I’m sitting in a classroom surrounded by 20 some odd computers and cell phones, in a class designed specifically for technology, typing on a mac about… technology.
